EXPERIENCES
- My first contact with translation was when I was only 12 years old
and I was asked by "Le Carrousel international du film pour enfants
de Rimouski", a film festival in my home town for kids, to translate
a short film. I was so excited and it was such a good experience that
I did it again the year after but that time for a whole movie!
- After having done a lot of different jobs in the tourism business
for 6 years I decided that it was time for me to pursue my dream of
becoming a Translator.
- I got my first contract from a company based in Ontario and since then I've
been their official French Translator and consultant.
- I've done a lot of general work from pamphlets to information guides
but I also have done some legal work and some websites translation.
- I have a great expertise in electronics and IT translation. I have
done a lot of translation of installation guides and instruction manuals related to computers, consumer electronics, appliances and softwares.
- My experience allowed me to work with many different softwares
like Word, Powerpoint, Acrobat suites, Trados, etc.
- I also took a course in Web design to be more familiar with HTML
programing to be able to translate websites.
- To improve my English, I'm also studying part time for a Degree in
English Studies from TELUQ.
- Don't hesitate to contact me for further information or for references.
